Depart from central Sofia in the early morning and journey southeast to the Thracian Lowlands, a region known for its fragrant lavender fields and millennia-old winemaking traditions.
Your destination is the town of Chirpan, where the annual Lavender Festival brings the region to life with colour, scent, and celebration. Along the way, stop in the nearby village Sredno Gradishte, one of the festival quaint spots, to explore local crafts, music, and traditions.
